Water Operator 3

Provide safe drinking water with a smooth efficient service that meets the expectations and needs of the customer. Assist with daily operations, take water samples, and work at the water treatment plant.

Qualifications:

High School Education or equivalent

Valid/Current Driver License

Pass Pre-Employment physical for moderate to heavy lifting (50 lbs)

Pass Pre-Employment Drug Screen

Mechanical Aptitude Required

Domestic Water and Backhoe Experience is desired

NM Level 3 Water Operator certification

Supervisory experience is desired

Duties:

Reports to foreman and assist in system activities such as:

Meter installations

Accurate meter reading and reporting

Maintenance of main water lines and meter equipment

Maintenance of pumps and pump stations

Maintenance of water storage tanks

Maintenance water valves

Maintenance of all equipment i.e.: backhoe, vehicles, tools, and etc.

Flushing of water lines

Be available and on call 24-hours.

Other duties as assigned by the foreman, assistant manager, or general manager.
