Job Description:

Position Summary: Under
direct supervision of the Water/Sewer Superintendent, the Public Works
Technician reads and operates utility meters; operates equipment used in the
construction, operation, maintenance; and repairs of water and sewer systems
and facilities.

Pay Grade/Range: This position is a pay grade 18, with an identified pay range of $12.2202 per
hour ($25,418 annually) to $14.8961 per hour ($30,984 annually).
 

Union Covered: This positions is non-union covered.

 Qualifications: High
School Diploma or equivalent.

Special Requirements: As this is a driving position, must possess and
be able to maintain a valid New Mexico License, required. 
Must possess or be able to obtain, within 18
months from date of hire or date of transfer/promotion, and maintain a valid
Level 1 Water Certification, required. 
Level II Water Certification, preferred. Level III Water Certification, preferred.
