Part-time Position

The Village of San Ysidro is currently accepting applications for a Water Department System Operator to perform operation and maintenance tasks throughout the Village of San Ysidro. Primary roles and responsibilities of the chosen candidate will include overseeing system operation (including performing preventive and corrective maintenance), ensuring regulatory compliance with the NMED/EPA (i.e.--sampling), communicating/interacting regularly with customers, regulators and the Village Council, along with providing system security. The chosen candidate must possess a valid NM Driver’s License and have obtained, at a minimum, one’s high school diploma or equivalent. Preference will be given to individuals with current Water System Operator license. Additionally, the chosen candidate must pass a background check, along with drug and alcohol screening test.
