Water and Wastewater Operator Levels 3 and 4

AWSD is seeking part time/full time NM Certified Water and Wastewater Operators levels 3 and 4.  Under the direction of the Superintendent, incumbents are responsible for routine operation, maintenance and repair of water/wastewater systems, laboratory testing for permit compliance and operational controls.  Water system consist of a water treatment plant (Reverse Osmosis), 2- one million storage tanks, 3,200 water connections, 6 ground water wells. Wastewater consists of a sludge activated plant with a capacity of 1.6 mgd, belt press, nine lift stations.

Position compensation includes salary dependent on qualifications, competitive benefits package, vacation/sick leave, and paid holidays, PERA retirement plan (includes District match), health, dental, vision, life insurance and short/long term disability.
