Public Works Maintenance Worker/Water Operator I

The Town of Mesilla is seeking a Public Works Maintenance Worker/Water Operator I employee.  Must be at least 18 years old, High School diploma or General Educational Development (GED).  Must possess a valid New Mexico (NM) Class “B” driver’s license or ability to obtain a NM license within 6 months of hire.

One (1) year experience relating to construction, maintenance and streets. Must possess the following: a valid New Mexico Water Operator Level I certification and a valid New Mexico Wastewater Operator Level I certification or the ability to obtain certifications within one year of hire. 

Citizenship in the United States or alien work status documents pursuant to applicable Federal Immigration Laws.

Must be able to pass a background check and drug test.  Full-time position (40 hours per week) starting $12.00 or depending on qualifications.
