Job Description: Plan
and coordinate operations, activities and maintenance of a drinking water
collection, treatment and/or distribution system. Ensure compliance with state
and federal environmental regulations relating to public health and welfare.
Requirements:
Associate’s degree or a two (2) year technical certification in Water
Technology, Engineering or a related field or two (2) years of training in
water distribution system maintenance, plus five (5) years of water operations
and maintenance experience including one (1) year supervisory or technical lead
experience in an administrative capacity. Supervise the operations and
maintenance activities of a drinking water collection, treatment and/or
distribution plant. This position is for water system Control Center reporting
to Surface Water Treatment Plant. Required shift work and odd days off.
Preferred candidate has knowledge of troubleshooting and analysis of water
system operation equipment and components.
Must
be able to pass respiratory clearance exam prior to hire and at east every
three years after hire. Must be able to pass respirator fit test within 30 days
of hire and annually thereafter. Must submit to Ozone medical exam, as
appropriate to the job.

income up to 90% of the average of your five highest years' salary. Retirement
under PERA also guarantees you access to the retiree health care plan.
New employees who do not wish to join PERA are eligible to
participate in a 401 Defined Contribution Plan, similar to 401(k) plans
available in the private sector. Employee contributions are pre-tax, and plan
participants are not taxed on employer contributions or upon earnings until
funds are withdrawn.
Group term life insurance coverage equal
to a percentage of your annual salary is provided at no cost to every employee.
Employees may elect to purchase additional life insurance at a reasonable cost.
Long-term and short-term disability insurance is also available for purchase at
competitive rates.
